Christmas Yankee Swap

The Mini-Print Competition and Yankee Swap was held at the club meeting on 12/17. The volunteer judges performed their usual stellar job of scoring and presenting the prints, a ton of good food was provided by the members and an outstanding collection of gifts made selection and swapping difficult.

As shown in the pictures below (taken by Karen Johnson) a fun time was had by all.

Field trip to the Crane Estate

Field trip to the Crane Estate

We had eight people attend, Don and Joan Hardy, Carolyn and Ed Perkins, Darcy Robinson, Norm Beaudette, Walter Harrington and Tom Briere. It was a beautiful day, sunny with some clouds. There was a lot to see, the Estate, Barns and eventually Cranes Beach. Everyone took a lot of pictures and I have attached the ones I received from Tom Briere, Walter Harrington and Norm Beaudette and my own.

Schooner Parade of Sail

On Sunday August 31, twelve Nashoba Valley Photo Club members and friends took the Yankee Freedom out of Gloucester to photograph the Schooner Parade of Sail and the start of the Mayor’s Race off Eastern Point which were the culmination of the Gloucester Schooner Festival.  The weather was perfect with enough wind to provide great pictures of the schooners while not creating seas which would make us seasick.

NVPC participants were:
Jim Coutre and his wife Jane
Darcy Robinson and her husband Phil
Ed and Carolyn Perkins
Don Hardy and Joan Walker
Walter Harrington
Bob Stevens, his daughter Stephanie and niece’s husband Jason Roberts

Below are some of the great images captured.  More images will show up in the digital and print salons over the coming months.
