Outdoor Portrait Photography

On Saturday afternoon,  June 21, about a dozen NVPC members attended a Workshop on the subject of  Outdoor Portrait Photography  at the Beaver Brook Association in Hollis New Hampshire.  The beautiful weather made the afternoon's session a pleasant outdoor experience and our models Emma, Erica and Becky were fantastic!  After a discussion about some of the technical aspects of portrait photography, the members broke into smaller groups to experience a one on one with the models.  The first half of the workshop focused on recognizing good lighting conditions, choosing backgrounds and how to improve the image using reflectors.  The second half of the afternoon had the members practice skills using off camera flash as the main light instead of the ambient conditions.   Special thanks to  Doug Smith for finding and coordinating the models, and Walter Harrington, Bob Stevens and Mike Los for volunteering to lead the small group sessions.

Attached are some photos taken by some of the members as well as some photos of them at work

Thanks to all who participated in this fun afternoon!!
